• Established in 2001, the Department of English for Global Communication follows our school’s motto “Begin from oneself, extend benevolence to all,” corresponds with the developmental trends of English profession, and cultivates professionals of international business and tourism with global vision.
  • Our department also unites with other departments to offer such interdisciplinary programs as tour leader and guide program and cultural tourism program.
  • Furthermore, to deepen the learning synergy of transversal connection to the concentration on English communication and translation competency needed in the workplace, our students are encouraged to apply for the programs of minors, double majors, and second specialty.
  • For years, our department has been recommending and sending dozens of students with the subsidy of the Ministry of Education abroad, such as the UK, the United States, Japan, Korea, Canada, Thailand for student exchange and dual degree programs.
  • In addition, our department signed faculty and students’ mutual exchange agreements with Humber College in Canada to deepen students’ cross-cultural perspective and vision.
  • Our department will continue to work with universities in other countries to seek further academic development.
  • In addition to basic curricula of listening, speaking, reading, writing, and translation, our department will continue to consult with counselors and experts from industries, governments, and academia, with an aim of cultivating students’employment competitiveness.
